PM-VBRY Scheme Overview: Part A & Part B

What is the official name of the scheme?
The official name is PM Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY). It was formerly known as the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme.
Am I eligible if I worked for cash before but never had a PF account?
Yes. The key criteria is being a first-time EPFO registrant. If this is the first formal job where a Universal Account Number (UAN) is created for you, you are eligible.
What is the incentive for employers in the manufacturing sector?
Employers in the manufacturing sector receive a significant boost. The monthly incentive of up to ₹3,000 per additional employee is provided for four years, compared to two years for all other sectors.
How is the "additional employee" count calculated for employers?
The baseline is the company's total number of employees as of July 31, 2025. Any new hires above that baseline count as "additional employees" for the purpose of receiving the Part B incentive.
What is the "financial literacy program"?
It is a mandatory online course, likely provided through the EPFO portal, that you must complete to receive your second and final installment. It's designed to be simple and aims to improve financial knowledge.
How will I receive the money?
The incentive is not paid by your employer. It is transferred directly from the government to your Aadhaar-linked bank account through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
